Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026

Overview

DMV Transit is a commuter rail and metro schedule app serving the Washington, DC metro area. This policy explains what data is collected (very little) and how your preferences are stored (locally on your device).

Data We Do Not Collect

DMV Transit does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information. Specifically:

Local Storage

Your station preferences (selected line, boarding station, and destination) are saved in your browser’s localStorage so the app remembers your commute between visits. This data never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser’s site data.

Third-Party Data Sources

Schedule and arrival data is fetched in real time from the following public agencies:

These requests are routed through a Cloudflare Worker. Cloudflare may log standard server-side request metadata (IP address, timestamp) per their own privacy policy.

Infrastructure

This app is hosted on Cloudflare Workers. No user data is stored server-side by this application. Cloudflare’s own privacy practices apply to network-level request handling.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes materially, the “Last updated” date above will reflect the revision. Since no personal data is collected, such changes are unlikely to affect you directly.
